Premiering during the Same Sky/Community Takeover exhibition at the Jones Institute in San Francisco, this sonic cartography serves as the beginning of an international sound mapping project which aims to accessibilize and amplify the soundscapes of community re-imagination -- sounds of solidarity, joy, encouragement, and love -- sounds of visions and bliss - the collective sound of bringing the future into the present.

In our waking lives, we often hear sounds of alternate realities– daydreams, visions, inner monologues, deja vu, sounds which appear in and around dream states. Each day, we access sounds at the thresholds of our perceptions –memories of laughter, for example. These sounds are often kept to oneself, as western culture enforces the isolation of the inner mind– the individuation process which encourages development of ego over connection to the soul.

Instead- encourage yourself to listen for these sounds in waking life, record them after stumbling upon them (or creating them!) and share them with your community through the sharing your recording.

This composition is living, collective, and perpetually ongoing.
